Hi Olivia and Jack,
We have approximately 560 students. We have to divide our playground up into a junior and a senior yard because we have so many students. The problem we sometimes have is students bumping into each other. This is a problem if an older student and a younger student bump into each other. This is never intentional, just sometimes students are running and well accidents can happen. We have a quiet area where students are not allowed to run and older and younger students can mix in this area. The Grade 6 students have a Grade prep buddy which they love. One of the highlights of the Grade 6 year is having a buddy.
Hope this is helpful,
Mrs Houghton,

Hi Amy,
Our students don’t have their own personal blogs yet, but let us know if you develop yours and we will take a look.
We have 23 classes at our school and the students attend 1 Japanese, Physical Education, Music, Art/Craft and IRC (information Resource Centre - Library and Computer) each week. There week is pretty busy. We have an IRC blog which I have been working on, this has other blogs linked to it. If you want to take a look the address is http://mpsirc@edublogs.org.
Cheers,
Mrs Houghton.

Hi me again I just looked at some more photos your oval is the best I wish our school had an oval like that but because we only have 20 kids we don’t have the money.
Hi Mardi,
We have 560 students at our school. Due to the drought we are experiencing our oval used to be a dust bowl in the summer and full of mud in the winter. Some of the children really enjoyed the mud! Now we have the synthetic surface the oval is able to be used all year round and there has been a noticeable difference in the number of girls using it. It did cost a lot, and I can understand how a school of your size would find it difficult to afford. We all wish the drought would end as nothing bets the real thing.
